Posted by ZeroSnake - May 4th, 2014

Hey gang, ZeroSnake here showing off my animated web series "A!M".

This is my first KickStarter project so I really made a push to grab some really cool prizes.

First off the KickStarter link can be found here:

For ep.3 I want to produce an even better watching experience that the first two.

Here are some links to clips from the project:

I hope you like what you see and support.

Please share, that will be my key to success.

I admire your ambition but honestly I would've given your skills and project another one or two years of development time. In its current state your show and animating skills (which lack some big fundamentals) might not attract enough backers.

10k is pretty steep for one episode, especially one thats already 50% complete. Kirbopher is asking for $15k for a whole season of TOME. I wish you luck, its always went animators achieve this sort of goals, allows for a lot more freedom. That said, for that kind of money I would be hoping for something that was a little more refined, some of your animation is nice, but it all very much screams "flash" which in this day and age is never a good thing. Voice acting in these clips is pretty all over the shop as well. Good luck and I hope you have fun with the project.

Looks pretty good. I wanted to try a kickstarter for one of my projects but don't know how.

Just remember to make it top quality!

I'm no expert on these sorts of things, but I think this needs a lot of work. Like Gerkinman said, it's all fine and dandy if you want to get your series some financial coverage, but $10,000 for one episode is a bit steep when considering that TOME is running on basically $2500 per episode. Also, the animation is overall pretty good. It's a bit rough around the edges and at some places it screams "Flash", but it's good animation for what you're trying to do. What isn't so good, though, is the voice acting. I hate being blunt, but that was horrible voice acting. It felt like there was no emotion behind any of those lines, and it all felt so forced that it was almost painful. Either find a way to make them work better for you, or find new VAs altogether.

I'd say this project has potential, but like kmau said, I'd give it a year or two before you try something like this. What you have is definitely good groundwork for something even greater, but in its current state, I wouldn't expect much success. Regardless, best of luck to you.
